Fascinating talk this morning by Jacqui Hyman of www.textilerestoration.co.uk on the 19th and early 20th century collectors and appreciators of Greek embroidered dowry and costume items. Fortunately much remains in collections here and also in Greece so that their beauty and skill can still inspire and be admired.
