We were a smallish group of members present perhaps because of the slight upscale in Covid regulations due to the new Omicron strain, perhaps because there was a foggy start to the day.

December meeting with Penny Vernon
Penny and Alan Vernon from Heswall Religious Society of Friends, more frequently known as Quakers, gave a most interesting talk illustrated with panels from the Quaker Tapestry full of social history of the last 500 years. The panels themselves are beautifully designed and stitched in wool of the most lovely colours. I didn't manage to catch either Penny or Alan with light on their faces unfortunately!
